CHICAGO, Illinois — July 21, 2026 — WomenAILabs™ today announced the appointment of Dr. Sreenivasan Narayanan, widely known as Sreeni, as Founding Chief AI and Data Officer and Head of the DAUGHTER™ AI Data Science Practice.
The global practice will help organizations transform Responsible AI from a policy aspiration into a measurable, evidence-based, and repeatable operating discipline.
In this founding leadership role, Dr. Narayanan will direct WomenAILabs™’ global AI and data strategy, applied research agenda, technical governance model, university partnerships, standards development, and enterprise execution framework. His mandate includes helping organizations identify, measure, test, remediate, and continuously improve AI fairness, transparency, safety, accountability, and performance.
“Responsible AI cannot depend on good intentions alone. It requires scientific rigor, measurable evidence, trusted governance, and repeatable execution. Dr. Sreeni is the rare powerhouse combination of enterprise leadership, research depth, and practical implementation experience needed to build a world-class AI data science practice, where proof validates fairness.”

The DAUGHTER™ AI Data Science Practice will connect academia, industry, nonprofit organizations, government leaders, and policy communities. Together, these groups will develop practical frameworks, reusable accelerators, testing methods, evidence-based standards, and scalable implementation models.
The practice will align its work with internationally recognized Responsible AI guidance, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework, or NIST AI RMF.
Building Measurable Responsible AI Across High-Impact Industries
The DAUGHTER™ AI Data Science Practice will initially focus on industries and public-service domains where automated systems increasingly influence human opportunity, access, safety, and institutional outcomes.
Priority areas include:
- Employment and algorithmic hiring
- Healthcare and patient decision support
- Banking and financial services
- Customer service and experience
- IT service management
- Education and workforce development
- Government and public services
Each initiative will emphasize measurable fairness, documented remediation, transparent AI governance, human accountability, and continuous improvement.
Rather than producing another static collection of AI principles, the practice will create practical Responsible AI tools, repeatable evaluation methods, open collaboration models, and measurable evidence that organizations can adopt, test, and scale worldwide.
Moving Responsible AI From Intent to Evidence
AI is no longer sitting at the edge of society. It is moving into the core decision systems that shape hiring, healthcare, education, finance, and public services.
That makes our responsibility much larger than building intelligent systems. We must build AI systems that are trustworthy by design, measurable by evidence, transparent in operation, and accountable in impact.
The DAUGHTER™ AI Data Science Practice is being created to help organizations move beyond Responsible AI as a statement of intent and toward Responsible AI as something they can test, prove, govern, and improve.
~Dr. Narayanan.
WomenAILabs™ believes that solving AI fairness, data quality, and governance challenges requires collaboration across industry, academia, government, and nonprofit communities.
Under Dr. Narayanan’s leadership, the DAUGHTER™ AI Data Science Practice will provide a technical foundation for global research partnerships, workforce development, standards creation, practical AI governance, and evidence-based innovation.
