Women AI Labs is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We believe that equitable access to information is inseparable from our mission of building fair AI.

Our Commitment

We are actively working to improve the accessibility of womenailabs.org so that everyone — including people who use assistive technologies — can fully participate in our community, events, and resources.

Standards We Follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

Measures We Have Taken

  • Semantic HTML structure for screen reader compatibility
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios for text and UI elements
  • Keyboard navigation support throughout the site
  • ARIA labels on interactive elements and form inputs
  • Descriptive alt text on images
  • Responsive design that works across all screen sizes and zoom levels
  • Captions and transcripts for video content where available

Known Limitations

We are aware that some areas of our site may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. These include some third-party embedded content and older documents. We are working to address these gaps.
