Code of Conduct

Women AI Labs is dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone — regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), nationality, or technology choices.
Our Standards
We expect all participants — including attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff — to:
- Use welcoming and inclusive language
- Respect differing viewpoints and experiences
- Accept constructive feedback gracefully
- Focus on what is best for the community
- Show empathy and kindness toward other community members
- Give credit where credit is due
Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviours are not tolerated in any Women AI Labs space — online or in person:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form
- Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise offensive comments or jokes
- Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
- Deliberate misgendering or use of rejected names
- Publishing private information about others without consent
- Threatening or violent language or behaviour
- Sustained disruption of talks, workshops, or events
- Advocating for or encouraging any of the above
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to all Women AI Labs spaces — including our website, events (in-person and virtual), social media channels, email communications, and any other forums operated by Women AI Labs. It also applies when an individual is representing Women AI Labs in public spaces.
Reporting
If you experience or witness unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns, please report it as soon as possible by contacting us at info@womenailabs.org.
All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality. We will not disclose your identity without your consent.
Enforcement
Participants asked to stop any unacceptable behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Women AI Labs reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate, including:
- A warning (private or public)
- Removal from an event or community space without refund
- A temporary or permanent ban from Women AI Labs events and platforms
