Build AI Service Excellence with Women AI Labs this October. We’re bringing students, researchers, educators, and industry practitioners together to shape how AI services support people—from initial design through everyday delivery.
🌆 Chicago is our launchpad. The world is invited.
Join our Saturday planning sessions at 9 AM Chicago time to contribute a challenge, connect with collaborators, or help organize a local pop-up innovation lab.
Turn Ideas Into Solutions
AI service excellence starts with understanding the people a service must support. However, a promising idea also needs clear ownership, reliable information, and practical measures of success.
That’s why our October collaboration connects IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) with human-centered AI design. Together, we’ll explore how teams can deliver useful services while strengthening accountability, managing assets, and preparing for service disruptions.
🛠️ Bring a real challenge. Build a practical response. Test what improves.
Build, Test, Then Improve
Our pop-up innovation labs will give participants a shared space to turn service challenges into usable solutions. Depending on each team’s interests and expertise, contributions could include:
- Service design scenarios that address user needs, accessibility, and human decision points.
- ITSM workflows that improve incident response, knowledge sharing, and service support.
- ITAM guidance that connects asset ownership, lifecycle information, and responsible AI use.
- Learning materials that help educators develop curricula and practitioners build skills.
- Working prototypes that teams can demonstrate, evaluate, and refine.
As the work develops, we’ll use lessons from testing to inform shared best-practice guidance grounded in practical experience.
Connect Learning With Practice
🎓 Students bring curiosity and fresh perspectives. Researchers contribute methods and evidence. Meanwhile, practitioners introduce the operational challenges that make learning relevant.
By working together, participants can strengthen their skills through mentoring, collaborative problem-solving, and hands-on experimentation. Educators can also translate those experiences into curricula that connect AI literacy with service design and delivery.
Our goal: help people build services they can explain, support, measure, and improve.
Host A Local Lab
🏫 Universities, tech centers, and companies: can you offer a space where people can learn and build together?
We’re seeking partners interested in hosting a Chicago-area pop-up innovation lab or organizing a local session elsewhere. Global collaborators can also contribute virtually through mentoring, challenge development, prototype reviews, and shared learning.
Your contribution could be a meeting space, a service challenge, technical expertise, or time spent helping a student team move an idea forward.
